CacheFly News – October 2024

Dear Customer,

Who could guess that only 4 weeks have passed since our last newsletter? We’re committed to keeping you in the loop from here on out with regular monthly updates. Here are this month’s new developments and fresh features to share.

• SAML SS

We now support Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) for enhanced secure authentication and seamless single sign-on (SSO) integration. You can now integrate your CacheFly login with your choice of identity management platforms, such as OKTA. SAML SSO makes managing user access more efficient and reduces the risk of unauthorized access, all while streamlining the login process for legitimate users. See full details in our knowledge base.

• Dedicated Cache now Available in Frankfurt!

Our Dedicated Cache produce is now available in Frankfurt. With Dedicated Cache, you can provision cache shields that are only used by you and your own customers. Whether you’re handling high-traffic apps, media, or data-heavy workloads, this strategically positioned cache increases your Cache Hit Ratio and decreases loads on your origin. Our Shared Origin Shield is available in ORD, IAD, and FRA. While Dedicated Cache expands this availability to nine locations, it also allows the ability to provision specific amounts of space.

• Multiple Origins (MULTIORIGIN) – Script

We are introducing a new script – Multiple Origins. Now you can easily enable multiple origins on a single service using path and extension filters. This makes it simple to configure your CacheFly service in the same way that you would with any other multi-cdn configurations. Scripts are CacheFly’s way of exposing complicated features in a simple, easy to use interface.

• New Status Code (Beta) Report in Analytics

We’ve introduced a new report to our analytics dashboard – status codes. you will be able to view reports based on detailed status codes at 5-minute intervals, each PoP, service, and group. It is designed to easily show when your service experienced a high number of errors and pinpoint time and location.

As always, if you have any questions – let your CacheFly contact know. Another cool thing that we’re doing is visiting a number of shows and conferences, so please look below and let us know if you’re joining as well. It would be nice to meet you there!
